Brisbane Airport - 80km north
Gold Coast Airport - 21km south
From Brisbane Airport - follow Airport Drive and turn left onto the Gateway Motorway. Continue for approx. 25kms and the highway will become the Pacific Highway. Follow signs to the Gold Coast and take the Southport / Surfers Paradise exit. Follow signs to Surfers Paradise. Turn right off the Gold Coast Highway into Elkhorn Avenue, left into Ferny Avenue, left into Cavill Avenue and continue to the end just before the mall. Turn left into Orchid Avenue and St Tropez is on the left side approx half way down the road.
From Coolangatta Airport - turn left onto the Gold Coast Highway and follow the signs to Surfers Paradise. Turn right from the Gold Coast Highway into Cavill Avenue and continue to the end just before the mall. Turn left into Orchid Avenue and St Tropez is on the left side approx half way down the road.

My mother, son and I went to gold coast for 5 nights in Sep 2007. When we arrived at St Tropez we found out that FLIGHT CENTRE forgot to make our booking. After waiting in the reception for 3 hours, St Tropez were able to squeeze us in dispite being fully booked and having to cancel someone elses booking, the rest of our stay was EXCELLENT!! Staff where friendly, rooms where neat and tidy and the price was great. 8/10 ********

Disliked: All gold coast bus drivers & room delivered fish

Whilst the staff were friendly and the location was excellent there is a serious problem in this facility with cockroaches. Come night time and the floor comes alive with the little devils. I don't know where they originate from, but going on past reports it seems to be an ongoing problem. Had it not been for the cockroaches I would have rated this place higher.

Horrible, Dirty and nothing worked. The room was out dated and dirty. None of the fixtures worked, mirrors were cracked plumbing was bad and salt damp stunk. Walls were dirty, linen was old and dirty. Carpets filthy. TV was tiny. cooking utilities minimal. Pool is NOT heated or broken spa did not work and sauna did not work. A horrible place to stay.

Disliked: hotel was a dump.

I had stayed in Orchid Ave a few years ago but did not like the fact that there are \"Girly\" clubs - not bothered by nightclubs but the Police should be on duty close by as there were quite a few speeding, screeching cars.
Liked: layout of hotel with pool in the middle
Disliked: Noise from clubs and construction - front units need to be soundproof

The room (243) had no ventalation so the main bathroom stunk. We had to keep the bathroom door closed the whole time we were there. There was mould on the roof of the main bedroom, bathrooms and hallway. The main bedroom was damp, hence we could not keep any clothes in there as they were damp. The roof was dripping with condensation. The ensuite also had a bad smell and the hot water tap on the vanity was leaking. Overall I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The place needs major work done. We were very disappointed.
