Visitor Review
My family and I just returned from a 7 day holiday spent at the Magic Moutain Resort, (Nobby Beach) QLD.
We stayed in B Complex, located directly opposite the Lagoon Pool, (which my kids truly enjoyed access too!). The 2 Bedroom Hinterland Apartment was immaculately Self Contained, (which meant no-one to interrupt us!) with a large deck facing the Lagoon Pool, smaller deck facing the Hinterland Mountains, and a smaller deck off the Twin Single Room.
I found it had everything we could want on a relaxing holiday & the Staff tending to the General Apartment Standards impeccable.
Would definitely return to room B11 anytime it became available!! Highly recommend the Magic Mountain Resort to anyone who wants a home away from home. Keep in mind you may do some walking...
Liked: Pools (All 3), Views from Balcony's, Upper Ocean View Pool & Spa, easily navigated central location, Staff presence, In-your-Apartment Massage(Own Cost upon Order), Sauna, EVERYTHING!!!
Disliked: Not having enough time to do everything available!!!

Magic Mountain Resort Reviews
We had booked into a 3 bedroom apartment at the Resort with ocean views. Firstly, I must say the views are as the Resort says "magic". The apartment was located just below the sky line pool at the top of the Resort & we used the pool everyday. The kids had a great time & we were able to sit back & relax. The staff at the Resort were very helpful & nothing seem to be a problem, well done to all. The unit was well equipped & clean. We even had our own grassed area off the patio.
Next time we think we would like to try one of the Penthouses!
Liked: Variety of pool choices. The ocean views. Staff service. Security was good. Apartment choices.
Disliked: The continual stairs from the bottom to the top of the Resort.

My family stayed in A block which was backing onto the large lagoon pool. My kids loved this and we could sit on the balcony and watch them. The front balcony was great for happy hour overlooking the ocean and up to Surfers. The apartment was spacious and relaxing and very clean. I would certainly recommend Magic Mountain to families, its in a great postion and has so much to offer.
Liked: The large apartments, we were not on top of each other which was great. Loved the views and location. 5 minute walk to beach.
Disliked: Walking up the stairs, kept me fit though.

When we arrived at the resort the staff didn't tell us that there was a ramp around the side, instead we had to carry all our luggage up the stairs through the resort in 30 degree heat. It took us forever to reach the top of the penthouse. The staff were very rude and offered NO assistance. Penthouse had NO AIR-CON, NO BBQ, massive area above the penthouse with no bbq which was ridiculous. Our spa upstairs was nice apart from the buttons which were not working and the it was very noisy. Freezer was dirty (icypole stains), cupboards were dirty and the dishes were also filthy and not washed properly. The Lagoon Pool was adverstised as Penthouse Pool, but everyone in the resort had access to it which meant there was no time to relax and have a swim. There were too many little kids running around and jumping off the wall into the pool. The Gym had minimal equipment and should I add OLD equipment. I reckon they were as old as the the old lady from titanic. For the amount of money we paid they only supplied 3 rolls of toiletpaper, 1 sachet of dishwashing detergent and 1 sachet for the washing machine. No room service and the manager didn't even visit to see how our stay was soo far.

We stayed in block B which is definately not 4/5 stars.... lucky to be 3 stars. Very tired and basic accomodation. Not all the complex is possibly like this but the accomodation is not what you see on the internet. Very dissappointed - found it quite noisy, tired and needs alot of maintenance/cleaning

We had a great time we had a wonderful appartment great views off our balcony of the city and the beach. we had appartment A23 and it was more than comfortable. I found that the staff were helpful but we really didnt need to deal with them much except when we came and went. instructions on how to use the dish washer would have been good, but great that we could wash and dry our clothes the pools were great and i appreciated the cable kids shows at the end of the days. would love to stay again one day

Not a pleasant atmosphere at all. Mostly full of drunk youths fighting and disrespecting people and property. My 2 children and I felt very unsafe, day and night. There was no security or staff on the premises after 6pm and the electronic security doesn't work.
Disliked: management extroadinarily unhelpful and quite rude, very noisy; lack of respect from adolescent patrons

I have lived here for the last 2 years and find that since it is under new management that the quality of services has deteriorated dramatically. I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

My family and I were very disappointed with our 3 bedroom apartment. the apartment was filthy, mould would come of the walls in the bathroom while you were showering. The single bed in the 3rd bedroom had dirty sheets and there was pubic hair on the dirty sheets, washing machine and dryer did not work, the kettle was green inside. the 3rd bedroom was so dusty, just to name a few things. we complained and was moved to another room but it was not much better. I would not recommend this resort to anyone.
